Mixed Media and More

Mixed media is the use of more than one art medium (ink, watercolor, acrylic, oil, plaster, wax, etc) in a single work. 

Mixed media can be on paper, canvas, wood panels, concrete, walls, it can be a 3D sculpture, and more.  

The mixed media classes that I teach are usually based on paper and combine ink (pen) with brush markers, water color, or other types of ink.  Perfect for art journals.

Some of the different mixed media/art journal techniques I teach include:

• Gel Plate Printing
• Inks - Distress Oxide, Dylusions Sprays, India Ink
• Brush and other markers and pens
• Collage
• Using Stencils and Stamps

I also teach basic bookmaking classes.  I prefer books with the open spine so you can see the beautiful stitches we create :)   In a bookmaking class you will learn:
