"When you are a child you are filled with the sense of wonder, curiosity, and a willingness to explore new things just because they are there! A wonderfully open creative spirit. As we grow up we become self-conscious, compare ourselves to others, or we become so busy with the day-to-day commitments - work, family, laundry, etc. - that without our realizing it, our creative spirit can go into hibernation. I love to help people (re)discover their creative spark. Students frequently tell me stories about how Zentangle® has helped them realize they are creative and they try lots of new things they never imagined they could do, and people who already work in another art form tell how it helps them take a fresh approach to their art!"
